It was the passion for travel and the sea which lead me to this profession, which I have lived and enjoyed for over 25 years.

I was born in Rome in 1949, I graduated in Aeronautics (plan, drawing, systems) in 1971 and I attended the Anthropology faculty in Rome university for two years. Between 1977 and 1982 I lived between Florence and India. At the same time I started sailing, delivering yachts and teaching sailing.

I obtained my first command in 1983 in Gibouti, East Africa: on Katiouchka, an 88 feet ketch, with a 120 tons displacement. With Katiouchka I operated in the Gibouti area for three years leading dive charters.
I returned to the East Mediterranean in 1986 and settled on the island of Rhodes.
I managed the refit of Katiouchka and subsequently run charters in the Greek Islands and along the Turkish coast for 12 years.
In January 1998 the owner decided to transfer Katiouchka to the North of Madagascar, which I did for him and then run luxury charters in the area for three years, with good results despite the extreme backwardness of the Country. At that time Katiouchka was the only large yacht which operated such charters in the area.
In 2001 I transferred the yacht to the Seychelles, where it was then sold a year later.

Back in Rhodes in 2003 I began the restoration of the interiors as well as the systems of Vesta, a historical yacht built in 1892 and on which I worked until I left in 2007 in order to take charge of Dolce Vita, a 90 feet yacht, which was French designed and owned.
I left Dolce Vita at the end of 2008 when the decision was taken by the owner to return the yacht to France.

In 2009, in the shipyards of Marmaris, Turkey, I supervised and carried out works to improve systems, general servicing, new installations on a 27 m wooden yacht, Delfin VI; and undertook the training of its new crew.
